The Schitbag! Would You Wear One?

So back a few weeks ago Donna Karan rocked a black leather fanny pack at a Parsons event.

Now, it's being reported by fashionista, that the new bag in demand is the Schitbag!? Here’s a small press release in description of it...

“Schitbag” IS THE NEW STATUS PURSE
Hands-Free Designer Belt Bag Fascinates Hollywood

Los Angeles, CA (May 12, 2010) — The Original Schitbag, launching now for the Fall season, moves the concept of a waist or hip purse into the 21st century with a unique, high-fashion design that enhances any outfit. For the first time, a hands-free, shoulder-free belt bag is sophisticated as well as practical, providing the sensuous elegance women have always wanted in a waist bag. Meticulously crafted in rich shades of velvety, optimum-quality suede, the Schitbag contours to the body and hides flaws with its sleek lines.

Now, besides the name in question (THE SCHITBAG?), kiddas is this something we can see ourselves getting behind? Perhaps NOT. Lauren at fashionista makes a valid point, "Sure, fanny packs might be on the comeback, but did they really have to call this thing the Schitbag? I don’t care how it’s actually pronounced (assuming it’s skit-bag), it sounds like shitbag. And that, dear readers, is the worst marketing decision ever made."

We Concur.

Have A Very Merry Birthday Raphael Saadiq!!!

Raphael Saadiq is not only a singer, songwriter and record producer but Raphael has been a standard for ol'school R&B since his early days with the group Tony! Toni! Toné! He's produced and written songs for such artists as D'Angelo, Mary J. Blige, and John Legend.

Raphael Saadiq's latest critically acclaimed album, The Way I See It, is not only a classic-favorite of ours, but it goes to show how organic and beautifully constructed an album can be amidst the musique industry and its condition it is was under in those times (auto-tune and over produced records were the name of the game.) Released on September 16, 2008. It featured artists Stevie Wonder, Joss Stone and Jay-Z. This well deserved, critically-acclaimed album garnered 3 Grammy Award Nominations and voted Best Album on iTunes of 2008.
