The incomparable and brilliant R&B/Soul/Funk/Gospel singer known as Fantasia, rips like a tidal wave through the "106 & Park" show doing what she does best, givin' a mind-blowing iconic performance of true vocal schooling.

The new single "Without Me," from the album, "Side Effects Of You" featuring Rap legend, Missy Elliot (sans Kelly Rowland) shut it down with such an electrifying/powerful duet performance.

Struttin' in all black ensemble, Tasia meshed and mashed the influence behind her current tune.

“When I recorded ‘Without Me,’ I was feeling some type of way,” Tasia explained to hosts Bow Wow and Angela Simmons. “I got a little phone call and I remember going back into the studio like, ‘Yo, I need a record that’s gonna give me some club feel. I want to go a little hood, I want to get a little ratchet.’”

Jennifer Lawrence Is Simply Beautiful On The Cover Of Vogue's September Issue!

Jennifer Lawrence looks simply beautiful landing the cover of Vogue‘s infamous September issue of 2013!

On choosing to do the Hunger Games films... “When Winter’s Bone was getting nominated. I had only done indies, and suddenly I was introduced to this brand-new world where I didn’t feel like myself. I was in these weird gowns and listening to people talk about things I didn’t understand. And I remember reading that in the book and being like, Oh, my God, I know exactly what this feels like. I don’t know what it’s like to get ready for your death, but I do know what it’s like to be almost a puppet. And then when I was making the second film, I had become more acquainted with that world, and I think that’s something that Katniss experiences. She is different when she comes back. She does feel more comfortable in the Capitol; she understands the people more, and it’s not as eerie and scary and unfamiliar. She kind of knows how to work the system.”

On the paparazzi... “If I were just your average 23-year-old girl and I called the police to say that there were strange men sleeping on my lawn and following me to Starbucks, they would leap into action. But because I am a famous person, well, sorry, ma’am, there’s nothing we can do. It makes no sense… I am just not OK with it. It’s as simple as that. I am just a normal girl and a human being, and I haven’t been in this long enough to feel like this is my new normal. I’m not going to find peace with it.”

On deciding to be an actress... “I know it sounds so stupid, but it was kind of like I finally found something people were telling me I was good at, which I had never heard, ever. And that was a big reason why my parents let me do this. One time, my mom was on the phone with my dad, saying, ‘We’re paying for therapy and all this medication, and we don’t need it when she’s here. She’s happy.’ ”

Is It Homeward Bound Or Simba?!

Well see what happens kiddas when you try n' disguise Homeward Bound as Simba King of Pride Rock?!

"This majestic lion dog from China!

Don’t you just look at that gorgeous and luxurious lion and say to yourself, “DAMN! That’s a royal lion!”, before humming some song from The Lion King? So did some people visiting the Louhe City Zoo in the central province of Henan in China. The officials of the zoo tried to trick all their visitors by trying to pass a Tibetan Mastiff dog as a real African lion and it worked until the lion started barking. Don’t you hate it when the dog you’re trying to pass off as a lion started barking? The jig was up when a visitor named Mrs. Liu brought her son to the zoo to teach him about the noises that different animals make. When they got to the African lion exhibit, the “African lion” started barking and lions aren’t supposed to do that. Mrs. Liu said this shit that made me laugh for days:

“The zoo is absolutely trying to cheat us. They are trying to disguise dogs as lions.”

The zoo had a completely reasonable explanation for this! And I mean the opposite of that. According to the BBC, the zoo said that the African lion had been sent to a breeding facility and since they had a cage available, they put an employee’s Tibetan Mastiff in it. But hos aren’t buying that excuse since the zoo also had a dog in the wolf exhibit, coypus rodents in the snake exhibit and a white fox in the leopard exhibit.

Yes, that zoo is a wreck, but I really don’t see the problem. That dog is even more glorious than a lion. It looks like Chantal Biya’s hair if Chantal Biya’s hair had a droopy tongue hanging out of it. Stunning and worth the price of admission." - Dlisted.com

Michelle Obama Looks Presidential Ready On The Cover Of 'Parade' Magazine!

Michelle Obama looks Presidential ready on the latest cover of Parade magazine! Inside the article, the First Lady discusses everything from her thoughts on seeing a Woman in future office to gettin' rid of her imfamous bangs!

On why she grew out her world famous bangs...“You know, it’s hard to make speeches with hair in your face!”

On rules for daughters Sasha and Malia in the Obama household...“I give them as long a leash as they can handle. What I tell my kids is, I’m preparing you for college and for life. So, having independence, knowing how to set your own boundaries, figuring out how to make that balance. We still have screen time rules.”

On whether an African American family in the White House has changed anything...“Absolutely. Children born in the last eight years will only know an African-American man being president of the United States. That changes the bar for all of our children, regardless of their race, their sexual orientation, their gender. It expands the scope of opportunity in their minds. And that’s where change happens.”

On turning 50 in January... “I have never felt more confident in myself, more clear on who I am as a woman. But I am constantly thinking about my own health and making sure that I’m eating right and getting exercise and watching the aches and pains. I want to be this really fly 80-, 90-year old.”

On whether her recent description of herself as “a single mother” was an acknowledgement of the pressure that comes with always making the decisions about her kids..."That’s absolutely right. When you have a husband or a partner who’s either traveling for work or has huge responsibility … and I give my husband credit—he knows who their friends are, he knows what their schedule is. But he’s not making the calls to the dance studio to figure out what classes they’re taking next year … I think it’s important for both parents to shoulder that [responsibility]. I tell my kids, “I am thinking about you every other minute of my day.”"

On whether there will be a female president in her lifetime..."Yes, I think the country is ready for it. It’s just a question of who’s the best person out there."

On whether she sees Secretary Clinton getting the job..."She hasn’t announced anything, so I’m certainly not going to get ahead of her. [laughs]"

On whether she will ever run..."No."

"Australian photographer Paul Freeman gives us a look into his new tenth book, Heroics II, a 'reflection on the self-aggrandizement and adornment by men of men in classical art, their heroics down the centuries since the Renaissance being depicted in more often as naked godlike sensual fantasies than the brutal acts of mean and ugly men they often were.' Paul further explains, 'this book seeks to comment on societies discomfiture over the naked male in real life, by drawing our attention to the almost blasé acceptance of the very public frontal male nudity in the heroic public art all around us in the everyday downtowns of our great cities.'- homotography.blogspot.com

Breaking Bread: With Jupiter

The self described "anglo french disco duo", Jupiter reigns from the far off land of all things wonderful, France ! Their first album Juicy Lucy is dance floor fuel reminding us of bands like Daft Punk or Hercules and Love Affairs first album.

Jupiter is a French-English duo based in Paris, but they first met one night in London. An empty dancefloor, a one hit wonder (1982 funk classic Mama Used To Say), a band was born. Amélie and Quarles’ work relies on a common passion for a time when glitter and carelessness were kings. The impact of disco and electro-funk on their music is a clear one, yet the band happily quotes a wider range of influences, such as Sly & Robbie, Beach House, Alan Parsons Project, Siriusmo or even the Beastie Boys.

Their first single, Starlighter, caused quite a stir on the blogosphere when it came out in 2009. As a true underground anthem, it encompassed the fullness of the band: a rich blend of songwriting chic and dancefloor hedonism. Their remixes for Metronomy, Anoraak or Two Door Cinema Club all carried that same signature style. In the meantime, Jupiter dropped a cover of the song that started it all, Mama Used To Say, which got praised by its original author. This handful of tracks drove them to appear on compilations by Ministry Of Sound, Valérie and eventually Kitsuné. The Parisian label moved on to release their two following singles: the one and only Saké, which topped electro charts for weeks in spring 2011, and a couple of months later Kass Limon, an electronic take on a forgotten tropical disco tune by Kassav’. On stage, the duo turns into a love triangle involving a third musician.

We love Jupiter and they will be a must see once they come into our territory but in the mean time check out our stellar picks of tunes in our Breaking Bread introduction!

Sister group,Haim, have unleashed the musique video to their super-duper catchy tune "The Wire." As I stated in the group's previous post, the tune weighs heavily on the guitar. The video projects the post-break up theme of standing strong alone on one's own two feet while unapologetically breaking those boy's hearts who dare to cross their paths! Without further ado...scope out the musique video for "The Wire!"
