Mariano Ontanon Stars in DA MAN Style Fall Winter 2018 Issue

"Supermodel Mariano Ontanon teams up with fashion photographer Mark Veltman for the pages of DA MAN Style‘s Fall Winter 2018 edition. In charge of styling was Paul Frederick at See Management, who for the session selected pieces from top brands such as Tom Ford, Salvatore Ferragamo, Valentino, MSGM, and Pal Zileri among other.

“As I mentioned before, I’m very passionate about running. Nowadays I run ultramarathons which are any distance longer than a marathon and normally in amazing places around the world. It became a challenge against myself, to see how far I can run, how far I can go. So, far it was 100 kilometers—62 miles—last April in Argentina. It was amazing. It took me 19 hours because I got lost. I almost quit when I got lost. I was in the top 15 of the race and after getting lost and climbing a whole mountain again I lost my legs and I walked for three hours dealing with the choice of abandoning the race. I ended up finishing four hours later than I expected but I made it to the finish line.” – Ontanon for DA MAN Style, on his passion for running." -Malemodelscene.net

Bruno Mars And Funny Gal Luenell Get Cuddly In Supa Hilarious Video!

What happens when you get one of  ItsNotYouItsMeBe funny gal comedic goddess Luenell and the current King of Pop Bruno Mars, you get the perfect peanut butter and jelly sandwich! Better yet you learn that sometime in life you SHOULD be careful what you wish for.

Especially if you’re a Bruno Mars lover. Case in point. Bruno cut a super duper hilariously endearing video with Luenell spoofing a 'what if' we were love scenario.

It went down backstage at Staples Center show in our hometown headquarters of sunny yummy Los Angeles during Bruno's tour stop. He took some precious time out to film the silly willy nilly clip Luenell is a self-declared No. 1 fan of Marses.

Love is the language we only speak here and we're glad to see that love is in the air with all pun intended as Mars and Luenell get warm fuzzy and cuddly for the sake of some cheeky loving amusement for the funny cameras.

Dig out the seriously good-feel video below.

The Number Ones: The Beatles’ “Hello Goodbye”

According to one of preferred musical sources:

"The Beatles – “Hello, Goodbye”

HIT #1: December 30, 1967

STAYED AT #1: 3 weeks

It must’ve been disorienting, knowing that you could do pretty much anything and still hit #1. That’s basically what “Hello, Goodbye” is. The Beatles had been having a hell of a year. During the early summer, they’d released Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band, the album that more or less forced the entire culturally literate world to view them as high artists. But a few months after that, Brian Epstein, the manager who had discovered them and taught them how to be stars, died of an apparently accidental overdose of sleeping pills and alcohol. Epstein was just 32 when he died. “Hello, Goodbye” was the Beatles’ first release after Epstein’s death, and maybe its simplistic babbling was the only rational response imaginable to the members of this band, seeing that their public lives had spun out of control.

“Hello, Goodbye” came out of a word game. One night, Paul McCartney sat at a piano and sang a few words, asking Epstein’s assistant Alistair Taylor to call out the opposite of what he was saying. McCartney then turned it into a song. It wasn’t about anything, though that hasn’t stopped people from theorizing about it. It’s prettily orchestrated nothingness — a numb word-salad nothing with a maddeningly repetitive chorus and no real reason for existing beyond the idea that someone decided the Beatles needed to come out with another single.

John Lennon predictably hated “Hello, Goodbye,” calling it “three minutes of contradictions and meaningless juxtapositions.” He especially hated that McCartney and producer George Martin had made “Hello, Goodbye” — a song that screams B-side from the very core of its being — into the single’s A-side, while relegating his own “I Am The Walrus” to the B-side. “I Am The Walrus” wasn’t the best Beatles song either, but it’s a hell of a lot better than “Hello, Goodbye.” George Harrison, meanwhile, reportedly got pissed that McCartney removed his guitar solo and replaced it with his own vocals. “Hello, Goodbye” didn’t do anybody any favors.

“Hello, Goodbye” has a widespread rep for being the worst of the Beatles’ #1 singles. I get that, but I don’t think that’s what it is. “All You Need Is Love” is, after all, just as meaningless and repetitive as “Hello, Goodbye.” “Hello, Goodbye” at least gives Ringo Starr a chance to wild out on the drums a little bit, and the wordless-singalong chorus from the outro, which the band improvised in the studio, is a moment of lightweight-but-genuine beauty. So really, “Hello, Goodbye” is only the second-worst of the Beatles’ #1 singles.

GRADE: 4/10

BONUS BEATS: In 2014, the Cure covered “Hello, Goodbye” for the McCartney tribute album The Art Of McCartney, with McCartney’s son James helping out. Here’s a video of them doing that version:" - Stereogum.com
